There is only one place to be this Saturday in Logan, Utah: The Dee Glen Smith Spectrum.
Logan is a town that bleeds blue for its Aggies and this Saturday, February 20, 2010, ESPN2 will be joining “the Hurd” of Aggie fans as they host Wichita state for the bracket-buster.
Just to give you a glimpse into the type of game the Aggies play, Utah State is currently ranked number one in three point shooting, number two in free throw shooting. The Aggies are on their way to the WAC tournament March 11th through the 13th with a winning record of 10-2 (20-6 overall). The Aggies, as of tonight, are on their 11th straight win, gunning for 12 as they host Louisiana Tech February 12, 2010. Utah State is now in the USA Today coaches poll at #38 with 3 votes.
As for the players, Tai Wesley is ranked 15th in the nation in field goal shooting at 56.4% and Jared Quayle is 34th with an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.35-to-1.00.
The Spectrum is known for being wild and crazy. ESPN recently featured the student section in the television show “Sports Center”. Want a taste of the experience in the spectrum? Here’s a video that will wet your palette. 90 seconds in the Spectrum
